One of the most popular monks who can create sacred amulets is Luang Phor Koon (LP Koon) of Wat Ban Rai; he is regarded as the most renowned living guru monk with "magical powers," he passed away on May 16, 2015, at 92. Over the past six decades, LP Koon has been asked to bless countless amulets. LP Koon has been praised for his great compassion. He once said he knew full well that amulet-making was against Buddha's teachings, but as his intention was purely for the people's good, he found it worth doing. He only hopes those who benefit from his amulets will feel grateful to the religion and finally turn to practice dharma.
LP Koon amulets possess a mysterious force that can be regarded as a blessing from the God of Heaven. The following incidents show how efficacious his charm is: This incident happened in 1992; a student named Mak complained to his teacher that a student from the neighboring school robbed him. So, the teacher went to the school to report the incident and asked the authorities to follow up on the case. Mak thought the case was settled after the report. But one day, unexpectedly, while driving his motorcycle home from school, somebody behind shouted at him, and he heard the gun's bangs as he turned to the back.
The bad student was holding a gun and shot at him at a short distance. There were three holes in his school uniform, but the bullets only hit his skin's surface. Immediately, he rushed to the hospital; the doctor washed his wounds and said he did not need to stay there. After the incident, Mak thanked LP Koon for his amulets (which he wore three pieces) and takrut that saved his life. In 1993, a hostel in a tourist area in Thailand suddenly collapsed and caused many deaths. Rescuers had been searching for survivors for three days and three nights. They suddenly heard a strange sound when they thought there were no survivors.
So, they started digging to find where the sound came from. To their surprise, they found a woman was still alive 20 meters down under the building. According to the woman, she was unconscious after the building collapsed. She was unable to make a sound to call for help. When asked why she was still alive, she said she believed the LP Koon amulet she wore saved her life. LP Koon amulets are made using the image of Buddha, an image of a famous monk, or even his image to make the amulets. Charms vary in shape and materials, such as clay, bone, wood, or metal.
They may include ash from incense, old temple structures, or hair from a famous monk to add protective power to the amulets. After the charms are made, the maker will ask the monks who live in the temple or monks from other temples to join together and practice chanting, praying, and blessing the amulets. LP Koon amulets include protection to enhance personal relationships, better health, protection from black magic, blocking disasters, strengthening careers, and adjusting the human aura field. Most importantly, it can help bring peace to different walks of life.
