This amulet of Buddha Images for Each Day of the Week is released from Wat Phra That Doi Suthep (Wat Doi Suthep) temple in Chiang Mai Province. The temple is 14 kilometers away from the center of Chiang Mai. It is the most important temple in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The original founding of the temple remains a legend; this temple is said to have been founded in 1383 when the first stupa was built. Over time, the temple expanded and was made to look more extravagant, with many more holy shrines added, and the road to the temple was constructed in 1935. The beauty of Wat Doi Suthep is marked by seven-headed serpent statues that line the 309 steps staircase to reach the temple, where a Golden Pagoda and all its exquisite Lanna architecture styles are situated.

 

This amulet can only be obtained at Wat Doi Suthep's temple ground. This Buddha Birth Day amulet does not come with the original temple box. It is inserted in a clear transparent plastic bag.

The story says that having received bundles of grass, Buddha scattered them and remained on top, vowing to stay seated until completing full enlightenment. Due to his steadfast determination, he was able to achieve this.
